Arsoniste (Rachel Sunter; r-sun) makes laptop songs in a purple room with her cats. Lush keys, drum loops, and Radioheady vocals deliver the ruminations of a tomboy model music nerd with trauma in the bank.

Arsoniste wrote and recorded her fan-funded, debut LP Queen of Swords (2025) in Halifax NS and Sheffield UK, before finishing it with Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire) in hometown Montreal.
“Queen of Swords is a diary entry of fresh wounds, spiritual questions and post-pandemic dissociation," says Arsoniste. “The album title is a tarot card that represents female independence, saying no, severing relationships and unmasking liars - especially men.”
Originally a classical piano-singer playing lounges for a living, Arsoniste found listeners online with elegant covers of alt-rock hits “Lithium” by Nirvana (400K+ streams on Amazon Music) and “Weird Fishes / Arpeggi” by Radiohead (170K views on Youtube).
